Sharks are scary wild animals, but you need to know that there are the scariest sharks in this world. The Goblin Shark is the name; it is known as the most terrible shark when viewed from its shape. Often referred to as a living fossil, this Goblin shark is the only representative of the Mitsukurinidae family, a lineage of about 125 million years old.

The mouth of this Goblin shark has a back-and-forth mechanism and is very fast to ambush its prey. There are no molars in its jaws and only long, protruding fangs. With pink skin, this Goblin shark is about 3 to 4 meters long.

Having a flabby body and small fins, this Goblin shark turns out to have slow movement. Goblin sharks' diet is usually teleost fish, squid, and crustaceans near the seabed or mid-ocean.

This beast is commonly found only on the upper slopes of continents, underwater valleys, and seamounts worldwide. Goblin sharks live at depths of more than 1200 meters.

This wild animal with the species names Mitsukurina Owstoni turns out to have a different nickname in each country. In France, this animal is nicknamed Requin Lutin; in Japan, this animal is nicknamed Mitsukurizame; in Italy, it is nicknamed Squalo Goblin; while in our country Indonesia this animal is nicknamed Squalo Folleto as the name Goblin Shark itself comes from England, which became the most popular nickname.

2. Nicknamed the Alien Shark

In addition to the above nicknames, this shark belonging to the Order Lamniformes also gets the Alien Shark nickname because it has a unique shape. Not only the muzzle but the body shape is also very unique.
